Every device signed in to your account signs out. Your vault isn't touched: it's encrypted on your devices with your vault password, which is a different password.

Then Vaulterm finishes it: it proves the account is yours with your Recovery Key, or with a device that still syncs, without sending either. Every way to sign in is removed and every device signed out, and you add a new way to sign in.

What a reset does

• We can give you your account back: your licenses, and the right to sync.
• We can't give you what's in your synced vault. It's encrypted with a key only your devices and your Recovery Key hold, and we never had it.
• If one of your devices still has Vaulterm with your vault on it, you'll keep everything: sign in on it after the reset and it syncs again.
• If not, your synced items can't be read by anyone, including us. After the reset you can delete that copy and start a new synced vault.

We check the request by hand against your purchases, and email you either way.
